BEADMEISTER-THE DOLL (12" tall) I've submitted quite a few things to Beadwork's Bead Boy Challenge before, but this is the first piece I was inpired to create specifically for the "Bead yourself" challenge. As is my custom, I made a form stuffed with cotton and braided wire (so her legs and arms bend). Then the embroidery began-I literally spent hundreds of hours trying to make the deadline. Turns out, I had done just enough to cover the unfinished part of her with a dress. Later I made her anatomically correct and made a few more accessories-such as a mini versions of my personal jewelry, and beaded clothing. She was in the Oct/Nov 2002 issue of Beadwork Magazine, and is currently on tour with the "Beaded Figure" exhibit.
